3D Printing in the Digital Media Studio

  • Customers interested in 3D printing their projects on the Digital Media Studio 3D Printer must be physically present to submit their print jobs and remove them when they are done.
  • Access to the 3D printer is first-come first-served during open Digital Media Studio hours.
  • Given some print jobs can run several hours, it is acceptable for customers to come and go while the project is printing as long as they make arrangements to return when the project is scheduled to be complete.
  • Staff will help you get set up and assist you with basic instructions on how to use the scanning equipment but cannot scan or print 3Dprojects for customers who are not present in the studio.

LinkedIn Learning has a large number of tutorials about 3D printing and 3D design. Here are a few to get you started:

Not sure what to print? No problem! We recommend checking out the collection of free, ready-made designs on Thingiverse.
